I considered myself not a noob when I started to become the leaders of all the PuG's I join, and people started listening to me.

Beeing a noob in a MMO is not about your skills, your level, your inventory, etc.. It's about beeing a mature person who knows the meaning of the words responsibility and courtesy.

I don't care if you have 4 level 20 chars with uber equipment and know every single strategy and skill setup in this game. If you don't know how to behave, you are a noob in my eyes. Apart from the fact, that you aren't. Because I wrote earlie that calling other people a noob means that you are yourself a noob, so this would mean that I am a noob, which of course I'm not.

Playing a WaMo is a pretty good sign that you're a noob too....

(sorry, couldn't resist ;o)

Hahaha, I play a Wa/Mo mostly because I love to be the one saving my team from ultimate defeat AND because they can farm easily and I needed cash bad

I prefer my R/Mo though who carries some smites and a res...

I have two points of view on Noobs and pros (Reason is because I can't find a decent definition for either)... If you want to not be a noob, then you can just learn numbers/memorize skills/get a bunch of good equip. That's half of what I think is a pro, the other half would involve how many people enjoy/like/need your company. GW is a very team-based game, so even if you rule, your ego or attitude can make you hated. A genius playing GW with no friends and no group (HENCHIES DON"T COUNT) won't be counted as a pro. In simpler terms... find a small-ish decent guild where their need for you is more than an extra number on their recruiting ad, if the people around you think you're pro, you're pro, if they think your a noob, not even reciting all the skill descriptions will change their opinion.

Okay "I dub thee ... Sir Non-n00b of Tyria .. now go forth and teach the n00bs the value of patience, take them to cap their elite skills, tell them the importance of strategy prior to entering the Tombs, teach them not to use words like r0xx0r u suxx0r godly uber 1337 fu and to stop drawing pennises on the map because we really don't care, and tell them ... the most important thing of all ... tell them that guildwars is a RP & PvP community ... and any ideas that strictly benefit 1 side while not the other, no matter how hard they candy coat it, will never occur ..."

PS.... your not a noob if you know what your doing and can work in a team environment to accomplish a goal.

Then there's no way I'm a n00b, first for GB's that we do on a regular basis I ask for advice for strategy from my lead strategist, then I ask for advice from the people who are going into battle with me, THEN I ask again my lead strategist to make a strategy and have my guild mates telll me whether or not it's good then I evaluate it and say whether or not it's good and majority rules.

I THINK that's on topic.... Hm...

You'll always be a noob because there will always be someone better than you and they will never pass up the chance to let you know.

Perhaps the people calling me a noob are noobs. Perhaps the word 'noob' has now lost all meaning. This is a bit too philosophical isn't it.

Wuhuhuuu man. That was deep.
